Revision: Present Perfect (15 min)

Look at the sentence on the board.

• Which tense is used?
• Does he have a radio show now?
• Did he have a radio show last year?
• Do we know when his radio show started?

Revision: Present Perfect (15 min)

• How is the present perfect formed (its grammatical structure)?
• Which past participles do you know (regular/irregular)?
• Can you give an example sentence?
  

Instruction: present perfect with 'for' & 'since' (15 min)

With the present perfect...

• We use 'for' to say the time period (e.g. 10 minutes, 3 years)
• We use 'since' to say when something started (e.g. yesterday, a year ago)

> I have lived in Australia for seven months.
> I have lived in Australia since December.

Do SB exercise 3a-3c and Grammar Focus 8B on SB p. 156. Check in pairs.

Game: Fly Swat! (15 min)

• In pairs: test each other by swatting a card with a time reference that matches with either 'for' or 'since'.
• If you got it wrong, you need to take the card.
• The winners are the people that have given away all their cards.
