Present continuous 

We use present continuous for arrangements with people.

These appointments can be noted in your dairy.

The events could theoretically change

1. I'm meeting Abi at the concert at 8 p.m.
2. My family and I are flying to Spain next week.
3. I am seeing my dentist at 11 tomorrow morning.

Present simple

We use present simple for scheduled or timetabled events.

These events can't be changed
