What is a Tag question?

Tag question

A tag question is a special construction in English. It is a statement followed by a mini-question. We use tag questions to ask for confirmation. They are similar to Dutch: "Dat doet zij goed, vind je ook niet?"

Tag question

Gebruik altijd een persoonlijk voornaamwoord in de tag question, ook als in de hoofdzin een zelfstandig naamwoord wordt gebruikt. 

Gretsky is a great player, isn't he?

The ball isn't on the field, is it?

He is collecting diamonds,

We often watch Netflix in the afternoon,

Susie played chess yesterday,
