TAG QUESTIONS

Grammar: Tags = korte vraagjes

Jij hebt zeker niet je huiswerk gemaakt, of wel?

Dat was een behoorlijk moeilijke toets, niet dan?

Straks hebben we les van mevrouw van Meijeren, toch?

Grammar: Tags = korte vraagjes

          

 Een tag is een kort vraagje aan het einde van een zin: ..., is it? / ..., isn't it? / ..., can't you?

De spreker vraagt hiermee eigenlijk: 'Klopt dat?' of 'Ben je het met me eens?'

Tags

Hoe maak je een tag? 

De regel:  

• Na een bevestigende zin (+) is de tag ontkennend (-) 
• Na een ontkennende zin (-) is de tag bevestigend (+)
• herhaal in de tag het werkwoord en het onderwerp

You are at school together,	aren't you ?
He isn't busy	is he ?

staat het werkwoord in dit lijstje? dan mag je het gewoon gebruiken

 to be (am / is / are)

to do (do / does / did)

to have (have / has / had)

 can, should, could, would, must

Staat het woord niet in het lijstje? gebruik dan: do/does of did
