4 ways with the future

‘Form of to be’ going to + verb = We are going to go on holiday next week.

Will/ Shall + verb = I will (I’ll) call you later

Present Simple = The bus leaves at 5 pm (S.H.IT rule)

Present continuous ‘Form of to be’ verb+ing = They are moving house next week

‘To be’ going to + verb

I am going to visit my cousin at the weekend.

• Praat ik over de toekomst?
  
• Plan. Ik ben van plan om dit te doen. 
• Beslissing. Ik heb het al besloten.  (dus niet ter plekke)
• Voorspelling met bewijs (je ziet het al bijna gebeuren) It is going to rain, those dark clouds are coming this way. 

Will/Shall + verb

Will or shall

•  spontaan beslissing gemaakt op het moment van spreken. I like this dress. I think I will buy it. 
•  een voorspelling gebaseerd op mening. Een gok. Robots will take our jobs in the future. 

• een belofde aan iemand. I will call you.
•  een voorstel (shall). Shall we go home?

• ‘To be’ going to + verb - iets dat je van plan bent, voorspelling met bewijs
• Will/Shall + verb - voorstel, verzoek, belofte, spontaan beslissing, , voorspelling zonder bewijs.
• Present simple - iets dat op een schema staat.
• Present continuous - iets dat is gepland, een afspraak (Future diary)
