Engelse woorden in het meervoud eindigen meestal op -s

Die -s moet je altijd aan het woord vastschrijven.

Uitzondering

• If the word ends with a 'sis-sound' ( -s / -ch / -sh / -x )
  you add -es. So kiss > kisses

• If the word ends with -y
  -y becomes -ies, so baby > babies
• If the word ends with -f
  -f is replaced with -v, add -es. So, leaf > leaves 
  and knife > knives
