After certain verbs:

Infinitive

-ing form

(not) to + infinitive

object + (not) to + infinitive

After modal verbs

modal verbs (hulp ww):

can, could, might, should and would

use:

infinitive

You should leave for work in time.

After the words

Use verb + -ing:

I enjoy watching Netflix.

By finding the verb and asking 'what?' or 'Who?'

The answer to the question 'what?' or 'Who?' is the object

'Please, pass the butter to me.'

Step 1 -> Find the verb(s)

'Please, pass the butter to me.'

Step 2 -> Ask 'what?' or 'who?' + verb(s)

'Please, pass what? to me.'

Answer: the butter

Write down all the objects:
'Don't eat me. I have a wife and kids! Eat them!'
