When do we use tag questions?

Tag questions- aangeplakte vragen

-Bevestiging vragen

-Onderwerp en werkwoord worden herhaald (wie en wat)

-Als de zin bevestigend is dan is de vraag ontkennend:

"The weather is nice, isn't it?"

-Als de zin ontkennend is dan is de vraag bevestigend:

"We aren't late, are we?"

Voorbeelden:

I'm a fast runner, aren't I?

I'm not a fast runner, am I?

You are a football player, aren't you?

She isn't very strong, is she?

They are runners, aren't they?

Baseball is a popular sport isn't it?

I'm doing the dishes,

The teacher is making tests,

They aren't here yet,

She isn't walking home,

Niet vergeten:

-Als er in de zin een vorm staat van to be (am / are / is) herhaal je die vorm in de aangeplakte vraag.

-In alle andere gevallen gebruik je "do.
