 Strabrecht College 
Secondary school - start at age 12, students enter one of three different streams/ educational paths MAVO, HAVO , VWO
based on a student’s academic level and interests.
  • MAVO: Focuses on practical and vocational training, leading to further vocational education.
  • HAVO: Prepares students for higher professional education at universities of applied sciences.
  • VWO: Provides a theoretical education, preparing students for university study at research universities.

What is special about Strabrecht Colelge 
Choices, learning targets, coaching choice work time (KWT) in a learning area. I prefer to study in Learning Area 3. It’s never too crowded, and I can study without getting distracted. Learning Area 2 is larger. When I want to work with my friends, I go there. I met my best friends during choice work time in a learning area!
Quiet Area
When I really need to concentrate, I choose to work in the Quiet Area. Then I can work really well without being disturbed. If I need some help, I choose the largest learning area. There are usually many students and regular teachers there who I can ask questions.
Consultation Rooms
The school also has small consultation rooms. If you want to work with a group on a task, it’s sometimes nice to sit in one of these rooms. They are soundproof, so it's also a good place if you want to sit alone and work quietly.
Extra Help
If I'm falling behind in geography, I schedule an extra geography lesson in my timetable so I can get some extra help. If I'm ahead of schedule, I choose a subject I enjoy, like English. For history, we need to make a mind map. It’s quite a big task, so I’ve scheduled a KWT hour before my history lesson. This way, I can work extra long on this assignment.
