Grammar 5.6 betrekkelijke voornaamwoorden

Who/ which/that / ø

ø betekent niks/leeg/ weglaten

Slide 20 - Slide

Grammar 5.6
Who: als je wilt verwijzen naar personen

The man who visited my birthday is my father.
These boys, who are learning about maths, are students.

The man that visited my birthday is my father.

Slide 21 - Slide

Grammar 5.6

This is the car which I bought in 2013.
His wedding, which was fantastic, ended with a big party in their house.

Ook hier kun je which veranderen in that, maar alleen als er géén komma voor de bijzin staat.
This is the car that I bought in 2013.

Slide 22 - Slide

Hier kun je in de tweede zin weer komma's gebruiken omdat het deel 'his wedding ended with a big party in their house' al een op zichzelf staande zin is.
Grammar 5.6

- This is the car which I bought in 2013.
--> This is the car ø I bought in 2013.

Emma is the girl ø  I told you about;
Is that a computer? – No, it is the new television ø my parents bought
