Adverbs (bijwoorden)
Example: 
She rarely eats breakfast. 
 
Use: 
To answer: How….? 
To say something about a verb or adjective. 

Position in sentence:​ 
After to have – to be – to do​​    >  I have rarely eaten breakfast in my life.
Otherwise before the verb​ > She rarely eats breakfast

Example: 
The tall building.  
 
Use: 
To say something about a noun (zelfstandig naamw). 

Position in sentence:​ 
Before a noun  > tall building
Used after these verbs: to be – sound – taste – smell – look – feel 
He is tall
He looks tall

Irregular issues 
30-minute --> not 30-minutes  e.g. a 30-minute presentation
good vs well. 
Barcelona is a good team and they play well
in a friendly way --> not friendily
He spoke to me in a friendly way - He spoke freindily
daily, early, strange and more don't change
hard vs hardly --> different meanings
sensory perception: taste, look, feel, smell, sound --> adjective
