= bijvoeglijk naamwoord

Bijvoeglijk naamwoord - zegt iets over een zelfstandig naamwoord en is de "korte" versie.

Adjectives

• says something about the noun
• example: the big dog
• position: in front of the noun
• Other examples?
  

Adverbs

• says something about* the verb, adjective, other adverb or sentence
• example: he walks slowly
• ...he sang really beatifully
• ...she is an extremely fast runner
• hoe? 
• +ly
  

Adjective

Usually in front of the noun. Apart from:

• The painting looks great.
• This bread tastes  nice.
• This track sounds awesome.
• This fabric feels soft.
• the verbs: to be/seem/become/get
  

Adverbs

Usually end in -..ly

Apart from:

when adjective ends in -le (-le becomes -ly)

consonant +y 

EXCEPTIONS

Intensifiers are so interesting!

They are absolutely, completely and extremely, necessary. Intensifiers are really very useful. Highly useful! They make sentences so much more colourful. They are such a good way to strengthen certain words.  I am totally going to use them.
