What's the structure?

  • if + past simple, would + verb
  • would + verb...if + past simple


When do we use it?
  • imaginary / hypothetical situation + result (in the present or future)
Notes
'd = would
If I/he/she/it + were = bc it's imaginary, we use were!
(not If I/he/she/it was)
