Lesson goal: at the end of the class you feel more prepared to do the test on Monday. 

Grammar: Present Simple

Present Simple = de tegenwoordige tijd

(Vanaf nu Present Simple afgekort naar PS)

Je gebruikt de PS om te praten over: feiten, gewoontes, gebeurtenissen of iets wat regelmatig gebeurt. 

Present Simple

Vorm van to be in the PS :

Ik ben - I am 

Jij bent - You are 

Hij/zij/het is - He/she/it is 

Wij zijn - We are 

Jullie zijn - You are 

U bent - You are 

Present Simple

Bij de meeste woorden in de PS gebruik je de stam van het werkwoord. Ik loop wordt bijvoorbeeld: I walk. Walk is dan de 'stam' van het werkwoord. 

Present Simple 

Bij he/she/it veranderd de spelling soms of wordt er wat toegevoegd. Dit noemen we de SHIT regel.

She/He/It krijg een S bij het werkwoord

Ik loop werd immers: I walk. 

Zij loopt wordt: She walks. --> er komt een s achter walk. Als er een naam staat bv: Inge. Dan wordt het ook: Inge walks. 

Present Simple

Soms veranderd bij he/she/it de hele spelling van het woord:

Bijvoorbeeld: 

Ik studeer = I study.  / Zij studeert = She studies 

Woorden die eindigen op medeklinker + y krijgen -ies. 

Ik speel = I play  / Zij speelt = she plays. 

Woorden die eindigen op klinker + y krijgen - s 

Present Simple

Bij de werkwoorden die eindigen in een -S klank: 

I watch = She watches / krijgt he/she/it -es erachter 

ook bij de werkwoorden do & go komt er -es achter. 

I do / he does 

We go / it goes 

Personal pronoun

Personal pronoun = persoonlijk voornaamwoord. 

Je hebt subject en object pronoun. 

Subject pronoun staat vaak aan het begin van de zin. 

Een object pronoun staat vaak aan het einde van de zin.

Interrogative pronoun

Interrogative pronoun = vragend voornaamwoord. 

Vragende voornaamwoorden staan vaak in het begin van de zin.

wie, wat, waar, wanneer, hoe, waarom, welke 

In het Engels heb je:
