The Present Simple

Gebruik: Als iets vaak, regelmatig, soms gebeurt of bij feiten.

Maak je door: (SHIT-REGEL)                    Voorbeeld:

Vraagzin:

Do of does vooraan in de zin                  (?) Does he walk to school every day?

Ontkenning:
Don't of doesn't                                             (-) He doesn't walk to school every day.

The Present Continuous 

Gebruik:
Als iets NU gebeurt. 

Maak je door:                                                                                           Voorbeeld:
vorm van to be  (am/is/are) + werkwoord + ing                       (+) I am walking right now.

Vraagzin:
am/is/are vooraan in de zin                                                              (?) Am I walking right now?

Ontkenning:
am/is/are + not                                                                                      (-) I am not walking right now

Signaalwoorden

Hoe weet je welke tijd je moet gebruiken?
Signaalwoorden:
Vaak staan er in de zin bepaalde woorden waaraan je kan zien welke tijd je moet gebruiken, dit noemen we signaalwoorden.

Tip! Kijk eerst naar het signaalwoord in de zin, zodat je weet welke tijd je moet gebruiken.
