• Zero- conditional  = facts -
  If water reaches 100 degrees, it boils.
• Type 1 = First conditionaI = real or likely situations -
  If he comes first, he will win the medal.
• Type II = Second conditional =unlikely situations -
  If I won the lottery, I would go travelling around the world.
• Type III = Third Conditional = impossible situations -
  If I had studied for the test, I would have passed. (But I didn't study, so I didn't pass.) 

Zero conditional

Facts

Form: if + present simple, present simple

If you heat water to a 100 degfrees, it boils.

If you walk through rain, you get wet.

Conditionals:
zero conditionals refer to

1. general/true situations
2. possible (future) situation

ZERO CONDITIONAL: Complete the sentence.

A snake ... if it is scared.

1. bite
2. bitten
3. biting
4. bites

Fill in the zero conditional:
If it ... (rain), the grass ... (get) wet.

First conditional

Possibilities. Might happen, might not. But if it does, there is a consequence. 

Form: If + present simple and future

- If it rains today, I will stay home

- If Juan leaves, Paula will be sad

Real conditionals:
a first conditional refers to

1. situation in the past
2. possible (future) situation

FIRST CONDITIONAL: Complete the sentence.

Second conditional

We use it when it is unlikely it will happen. 

Form: if + past simple, would + whole verb

If I were you, I would do that.

If I hadn't eaten so much, I wouldn't have felt sick (but I did eat a lot, and so I did feel sick).

When do you use the third conditional?

1. improbable conditions
2. impossible conditions
