Relative pronouns

• verwijzen terug naar een persoon, dier, ding.
• persoon = who, whose, whom, that
• dier/ding = (of) which, that

Relative pronouns

Who / that  = subject - onderwerp

Marie Curie is the woman who/that discovered radium.

Whose = possessive - duidt bezit aan

This is George, whose brother I went to school with ('wiens')

Which = for things

• restrictive:  bevat cruciale, onmisbare informatie = geen komma's
• non - restrictive: bevat extra informatie die niet echt nodig is maar vooral leuk om te weten = komma's
