Wat is the gerund?
Soms kan je een werkwoord als zelfstandig naamwoord gebruiken, in dat geval spreken we van the gerund.
The gerund is eigenlijk niets anders dan een werkwoord waar je -ing achter zet.

I am watching a video.
He is playing soccer with his brother.
She was doing her homework.
Dit is de present/past continuous.

Na werkwoorden waarmee je aangeeft wat je wel of niet leuk vindt (like, dislike, love, hate, fancy, envy):
- I likerunning on the street!
- I lovedoing my homework when I am at home.
